However, after intervention by the European institutions, the National Bank of Slovakia has decided to remove crosses and haloes from the artistic design. The attempt to remove everything Christian from public life has also been demonstrated in the attacks by Members of this Parliament on Commissioner-designate Tonio Borg for his personal values and attitudes as a practising Christian.
