".
Georgia has rightly opted to adhere to shared values and principles such as democracy, the rule of law, good governance and respect for human rights, values that are essential to advance the process of European integration and bring to a successful conclusion the negotiations and subsequent implementation of an association agreement. Georgia’s internal political stability and the emphasis on internal reforms are essential for the future development of relations between the European Union and Georgia. Therefore, in light of the progress that Georgia has made, I agree that one of the EU’s main foreign policy objectives should be to strengthen and promote relations with Georgia."@en1
