I voted for this resolution which congratulates the Georgian people on the significant step they have taken towards the consolidation of democracy in their country; I welcome the fact that the democratic parliamentary elections of 1 October 2012 were conducted in line with OSCE and Council of Europe commitments, although certain issues remain to be addressed.
