"After 18 years, Russia has completed its multilateral negotiations on accession to the WTO and become an official member. This is a significant development, as the European Union is one of Russia’s strategic trading partners, mainly as an export market and an investment partner. Russia and the European Union are also mutually dependent trading partners where raw materials and key energy sources are concerned. Russia’s accession to the WTO bodes well for better bilateral relations with the European Union. That is why I supported the motion for a resolution."@en1
