".
I supported this report on the European Semester because it takes into account the demands of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, of which I am a member: they involve examining the economic and social policies to ensure that all of our growth-oriented policies are coherent. Economic governance has been the EU’s main concern over the last two years; it is now time to focus on establishing social governance, which could be initiated at the top via our governments and at the bottom via socially virtuous companies that are identifiable by a label, as I proposed in this report that has just been adopted."@en1
