In my opinion, Georgia’s foreign policy prospects are now highly favourable. I welcome the fact that Mr Ivanishvili wants to pursue and deepen the reforms undertaken so far, especially since public opinion in Georgia firmly supports this process. I also welcome the fact that, in addition, Mr Ivanishvili would like to make NATO membership and closer EU integration a reality for Georgia. I hope that, all in all, the election results will enable Georgia to set about normalising relations with the rest of Europe and building a constructive and respectful relationship with its neighbours."@en1
