". The single market is an essential element for achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy and its goals of sustainable, smart and inclusive growth. The new paradigm for political thinking on relaunching the single market should focus on citizens, on consumers, and on businesses, particularly SMEs. There are still too many obstacles preventing Europeans from taking full advantage of the existence of the single market, thus hindering the development of a sense of belonging to the same community. There is an urgent need to resolve these difficulties in order to allow Europeans to benefit fully from their right to freedom of movement and the advantages resulting from membership of the European Union."@en1
