However, a gap still exists between the expectations of European citizens and the reality of the single market. EU citizens and businesses still face too many obstacles, often in their day-to-day lives, in exercising their rights. For example, this might be the financial costs linked to registering a vehicle, being unable to open a bank account abroad, or even difficulties with the recognition of professional qualifications.
