The common fisheries policy was described as a failure by the Green Paper on CFP reform, while the Green Paper acknowledged the success of local management in this sphere, represented by the policy on coastal waters within the 12-mile limit. I therefore have no option but to support this report because I wish to support the proposal seeking to extend the 12-mile limit policy to the end of 2014. For these reasons I voted in favour of the report."@en1
