Until it enters into force, it is right that some rules between the Union and Serbia may already be applied, in particular those concerning trade. The Implementing Regulation for the Interim Agreement, which the Commission is proposing, follows the line of others already established with other Balkan countries. This Agreement and the others will have to be compatible with the legal regime in force following the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon.
