It has transformed the way we live, buy things, work, learn and travel. In addition, the rights of millions of European citizens, who can do these things in the country of their choosing, are protected by European law in all Member States. The implementation in practice of the idea of a single market has made it possible, and is still making it possible, to improve this process constantly.
