"I support the report, because the assistance will aid the outplacement of the workers in question. The redundancies referred to in the report affect three different regions of Germany – Augsburg (Bavaria), Offenbach (Hessen) and Plauen (Saxony) – that have been laid low by the crisis. Neighbouring major towns are also affected by the closure and the redundancies, including Aschaffenburg, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Frankfurt am Main. Plauen, located in the eastern part of Germany, which has a small population but a high dependency on social welfare payment, is the weakest of the three and deserves this assistance, which should aid the recovery of a region hit very hard by the crisis."@en1
