"The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) was created in order to provide additional assistance to workers made redundant as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns caused by globalisation and to help them rejoin the labour market. Denmark submitted an application on 14 May 2012 to mobilise the EGF, in respect of redundancies in the enterprise Vestas Group and supplemented it by additional information up to 10 July 2012. This application complies with the requirements for determining the financial contributions as laid down in Article 10 of Regulation (EC) No 1927/2006. In order to provide a financial contribution in connection with the Danish application, therefore, financial resources in the sum of EUR 7 488 000 should be released from the EGF."@en1
