In view of recent figures reflecting a worrying decrease in the number of vehicles manufactured in the Europe and consequent redundancies in the motor vehicle industry, I think that the fund should be mobilised for the enterprise in question, especially in view of the fact that further redundancies are expected at Peugeot since demand is still falling due to the crisis. The package provides assistance to 2 089 workers who have been made redundant by the French vehicle manufacturer. I therefore voted in favour."@en1
