It introduces the requirement to provide passengers with more and better information about the services associated with the tickets they purchase, it improves all passengers’ access to a system for handling complaints that operates under the same conditions throughout Europe, with particular emphasis on access to this system for people with disabilities, and it prevents fraudulent practices that sometimes occur through the provision on the websites of certain air carriers of information that is not entirely accurate or is incomplete at best.
