All initiatives and actions, information campaigns, conferences and public hearings will have the aim of raising citizens’ awareness of the rights associated with the freedom to move and settle in other EU Member States. The founding of a European Year of Citizens is intended to educate young people, in particular, on their rights within the European Union and how to make use of them.
