lpv:translated text	"Mr President, the statement made by the European Parliament on the Ramil Safarov case is, in my opinion, very appropriate. The support expressed for the mediators in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan is of fundamental importance, I believe. I discern in the wording of the resolution, however, a rebuke for an EU Member State over the failure of its diplomats and legislators to foresee the presidential pardon, or rather for seeing it as a way of getting rid of a problem. As the President of Azerbaijan clearly did not have much of an option, the reaction of the Armenians who suspect Budapest of doing a deal is not to be wondered at. On the other hand, I would expect a promise that the European Parliament will help to settle relations between Armenia and Hungary. Most welcome of all would be for the European Parliament to actively join in with the states seeking a peaceful resolution to the disputes over Nagorno-Karabakh. I would like to say that many Member States export large volumes of arms and ammunition to this area."@en1
