lpv:translated text	"I voted for this report because I think that the two agreements will allow the EU to open up its market even more, while also increasing its exports in the two countries. In this context, I would like to emphasise the importance of the safeguard clause in liberalising the trade in agricultural products. It provides a safety net in the situation where the markets are faced with a certain amount of disruption as a result of signing the bilateral agreements. I should also highlight the monitoring and reporting provisions. They are vital for ensuring that this regulation is applied properly. In addition, they have an especially large impact in the case of sensitive products, which also includes bananas. Another important aspect concerns the social and environmental regulations which need to be adhered to completely when implementing the agreement."@en1
