The Treaty of Lisbon clearly extended the rights of the European Parliament as regards the processing of and access to information held by the Council. In order to make effective use of these new powers, it is vital to establish rules for cooperation between Parliament and the Council. For this reason, I voted in favour of the agreement."@en1
