"I supported the adoption of this text, which grants Members access to documents classified ‘EU Confidential’. This interinstitutional agreement sends a strong message to EU citizens. Their representatives will now be able to enjoy a level of information that allows them to stand on an equal footing in negotiations with the Member States. This transparency will therefore strengthen Parliament’s role in the European decision-making process, and this will be for the benefit of everyone."@en1
