lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this report because the Agreement for scientific and technological cooperation between the European Community and the Federative Republic of Brazil is based on a balance of advantages on the basis of the principles of mutual benefit, mutual access to research and development work carried out by each party, timely exchange of information which may have an impact on cooperation and adequate legal protection of intellectual property. The renewal of the agreement will further develop visits and exchanges of scientists, researchers and technical experts, as well as the organisation of joint research seminars, conferences and symposia and participation in them. Of course, the exchange and sharing of equipment, materials and information about practices, laws, regulations and programmes important for cooperation is an integral part of this agreement so that the mutual benefits are clear."@en1
