lpv:translated text	"Mr President, it is very exhilarating to see the commitment being shown by this Parliament to moving forward on smart regulation. This is indeed a very important objective to have in view. I must emphasise that the Commission is already tackling the areas that have been mentioned in the report, especially in relation to subsidiarity issues, where the Commission has been very active in facilitating national parliament subsidiarity checks. Also, the Commission wants to focus on delivery of smart regulation by preparing high-quality impact assessments, systematically carrying out evaluations, progressing further on our innovative fitness checks, continuing to simplify and reduce the administrative burden, with a particular focus on the regulatory burden on micro- and small enterprises, and improving further our consultation process."@en1
