"Mr President, I would like to begin by saying that I fully agree with Ms Weber, and that this is more or less what we ourselves said at the debate about Hungary. Back then we were not heard by that side. I would like to add that I am seeing a rather interesting concept of democracy on the part of the socialist and liberal Members here. Especially as regards my Hungarian socialist fellow Members, who take every opportunity to give their own government the boot. They seem to forget about the non-negligible fact that this time we are debating the measures of a provisional government, which are unconstitutional and violate the rule of law, and not how a democratically elected government with a two-thirds majority is attempting in Hungary to implement the reforms that did not take place at the time of the change of regime, and to repair a country ruined by eight years of successive socialist governments. I categorically reject this mendacious and deceptive comparison."@en1
