The involvement at all levels, national and local, of fishermen in producer organisations, financial support for the improvement of scientific data on fish stocks and the compilation of statistical data for fishing, financial support for an eco-label, the fight against the elimination of by-catch, financial support to improve the fuel efficiency of the ships, import controls, training of fishermen and the improvement of living conditions on board, the promotion of fish tourism are all measures that I support with the Confederal Group of the European United Left –Nordic Green Left. However this text is not opposed to the adoption of the system of transferable fishing concessions (TFCs), which is particularly harmful to artisanal fisheries. I therefore abstained."@en1
