lpv:translated text	"− Considering that MRAs – agreements on mutual recognition in relation to conformity assessment of regulated products – give each of their parties the authority to test and certify products against the regulatory requirements of the other party, in its own territory and prior to export, and considering that the MRA with Australia entered into force on 1 January 1999, there is now a need to improve and simplify the functioning of that agreement. In order to allow greater flexibility in the structure of sectoral annexes, to remove unnecessary restrictions on trade between the parties, to reduce the administrative burden related to management of the MRA and to facilitate and clarify the operation of the MRA, my vote is in favour of the proposal."@en1
