Domestic violence, discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation, human trafficking, exploitation through prostitution, sexual and psychological harassment, female genital mutilation, and many others, are some of the forms of violence that are addressed here. It also refers to the need for expert professionals to be involved in these processes of support and protection. We appreciate these proposals, although we do not support the proposals for the transfer of more power to the EU through new legislation. That is why we abstained. We have a few other considerations. We also believe that it is necessary to safeguard the right to a hearing of minors, and we consider the possibility of the victim being able to request the review of decisions made by the competent authorities to be fair."@en1
