"Mr President, it is amazing how much attention is paid to Mr Farage.
Mr Barroso, I said to you “citizens not banks” and you then spent a long time discussing the financial markets and the plans for regulation. However, once again you failed to mention the very serious problem of the banks that are too big to fail. Many citizens in Europe are firmly convinced, and I include myself among them, that if this problem is not resolved, if we do not bring the banks back down to a reasonable size and separate the investment banks from the commercial banks along the lines of the US model, then we will find that the European Union is by no means too big to fail. I am calling on you once again to deal with the problem of the banks that are too big to fail. By downsizing the banks, you can upgrade Europe."@en1
