Mr Barroso, I am a Member from Galicia, and the state of my region, as in many other areas of Europe, is one of profound crisis. This crisis is the consequence of austerity policies, social cuts and antisocial measures. Examples include shipbuilding, agriculture, fisheries, robbery by the banks, and the immoral rate of youth unemployment. In order for the European people to continue to believe in Europe, Europe must be on the side of the people, not against them.
