As part of the Commission’s legislative programme for next year, there is an urgent need to facilitate the swift adoption of the multiannual financial framework 2014-2020 and the related multiannual legislative programmes. To that end, it will be important to invest in strengthening cohesion policy after 2013, with adequate funding on the basis of multi-level governance, in line with Europe 2020 strategy targets.
