However, it also has certain deficiencies which must be remedied. A review of the current system should enable a balance to be struck between the European, national and international dimensions. It is also essential to ensure that both public authorities and societal stakeholders, such as consumers and workers, participate in European standardisation. It is important, too, that the European standardisation process be more transparent, and also that it ensure financial stability. These considerations led me to endorse the resolution."@en1
