We Swedish Conservatives and Christian Democrats voted today in favour of the resolution to wind up the debate on statements by the Council and the Commission on the conclusions of the European Council of 28 and 29 June 2012. The resolution calls attention to the importance of strong frameworks for the Member States’ public finances and to the fact that measures ought to be taken for the full achievement of the single market. These are the two single most important components that will enable Europe to overcome the current crisis. I therefore voted in favour of the resolution. At the same time, we remain opposed to the proposals for own resources and various forms of joint debt issuance which also appear in the text of the resolution."@en1
