Europe needs a global approach and a comprehensive legislative framework on animal welfare to achieve maximum coherence between the policies of the different Member States. Furthermore, this new strategy is based on proven experience and recent scientific and technological progress. By voting for this report, I support Europe’s desire to reconcile economic realities with animal welfare better."@en1
