lpv:translated text	"Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, after this long and heated debate, only one thing is sure, and that is that nothing is sure! Doubts, contradictions and grey areas have all increased, especially at a political level, as well as at a technical and legal one. I have not changed my mind about tomorrow’s vote, but there is no doubt that my motivation is even stronger. I understand and agree with the request to postpone the vote, but I do not accept that this should be due to Parliament being conditioned by the justice system. Getting politics to play a secondary role in a situation like this, bowing to the decisions of the judiciary, constitutes, I believe, an improper transfer of responsibility to which we cannot allow ourselves to stoop. I think the point is that tomorrow, Parliament needs to express a position. The agreement as proposed is riddled with dangerous gaps, leaving legitimate concern for the violation of the right to personal data protection and, more generally, for the violation of the right to freedom of communication on the Internet. I believe that Parliament tomorrow must accept and welcome a request from over two and a half million citizens to Parliament via the Committee on Petitions (PETI). There will then be a time for change later on, to introduce instruments that actually combat counterfeiting. Nothing is inevitable, as the Commissioner argued, where there is a clear, genuine political will."@en1
