lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this resolution because I believe that we must show our support to the countries of the Eastern partnership. The creation of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas is a key incentive for democratisation. People who can trade more freely will discover on their own the advantages of a political system based on respect for the rule of law and democratic values. I also welcome the Commission’s proposal to increase by 40% the funding available for the eastern neighbourhood policy in the multiannual financial framework 2014-2021. We need to spend European taxpayers’ money in an effective way and reward high achievers. The Republic of Moldova has made considerable progress in the past year. This would not have been possible without the EU’s support. We need to continue our negotiations with the Eastern partners and open up new economic possibilities for their citizens. Financial support, free trade and strong conditionality are the tools the Union should use in promoting our values in the neighbourhood."@en1
