"Trade relations with the EU’s Eastern partners are an important aspect of our economic policies and must be carefully monitored in order to allow for their improvement. In particular, the creation of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DCFTAs) in the east represents a basket of economic and trade opportunities, with multiple implications for our operators, in particular, small and medium-sized enterprises and the tourism industry, provided that reciprocity is respected in important areas such as compliance with the same rules on security and control. It is clear that through the creation of free trade areas, we want to act not only at the economic level but also at the political and social levels of the countries involved in the trade partnership. There is no doubt that, in order to achieve a proper industrial development strategy, we must first implement cooperation aimed at improving the civil and political characteristics that can allow for the maximum expression of individual freedom."@en1
