"Today, the EU is the main trading partner of Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Moldova. These countries must therefore transpose the standards required under the Eastern partnership neighbourhood instrument into their national legislations. However, we need to be aware that some of them, such as Belarus, under the yoke of an implacable dictatorship, or Ukraine, which is struggling to install a solid rule of law, are facing major political and economic difficulties. It is therefore up to the European Union to contribute to the introduction of a stable legal and economic environment in these countries."@en1
