"The European Union is the most important area from the point of view of the economic and productive sector. Nevertheless, partly as a result of the crisis, our region has latterly lost the attractive features that had made it a leading player. Making investment in Europe more attractive will require political action on several fronts. We must improve the way the single market works, make maximum use of the opportunities afforded to us by cohesion policy, and take full advantage of the new means represented by project bonds. Political determination on all fronts, starting with effective communication and using tourism as a lever by promoting our rich cultural heritage, unique in the world, is the road we must stick to faithfully in order to play an active part in the process of reform that we need to exit from the crisis, by promoting the ‘made in Europe’ and ‘made in Italy’ brands."@en1
