lpv:translated text	"The attractiveness of investing in the European Union is essential to the strategy for economic growth. The EU must retain its place as the top destination worldwide for foreign investment. It must, therefore, make investment a central component of all the flagship initiatives implemented within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy. To this end, Parliament is inviting the Commission to step up coordination of Member States’ economic, tax and social policies with a view to attracting foreign investment. The report also recommends making full and effective use of innovative investment measures. I voted in favour of this report in the July part-session."@en¹
