"Mr Messerschmidt has completely surpassed himself, even compared to last time, and I would not have thought that possible. Perhaps he should have been looking at himself in a mirror when he said ‘shame on you’, as this speech was certainly not worthy of him. We will let that lie, however.
It is the patents that I just wanted to ask Mr Messerschmidt about, because he is clearly very concerned about the fact that the Prime Minister has thrown out the patents, but as far as I am aware, it is Mr Messerschmidt who wants a referendum on patents in Denmark and wishes to recommend – as I understand it – that we should not have a common patent court. Is that not correct, Mr Messerschmidt? What would you say, Mr Messerschmidt, to all those European and Danish companies that have been asking for a single European patent for 30 years in order to make it significantly cheaper for European companies to apply for patents and thereby increase their competitiveness?"@en1
