"In order to attract investors, both Member States and regions must offer specific local advantages. In my opinion, the EU cohesion policy, along with tax and legislative advantages, has been a genuine driving force for change, making a significant contribution to convergence and growth within the European Union. At the same time, a prerequisite for attracting investors is the existence of competitive infrastructures in the context of the new challenges we are facing. Additionally, the promotion of research, innovation and technological development and the availability of conforming high-quality vocational training programmes for the citizens of European regions are the main conditions for the competitiveness and attractiveness of these regions. I believe that if we want to consolidate knowledge and innovation as driving forces for future economic growth and economic competitiveness, we need to improve the quality of education, implement research results in the economy and promote innovation and the transfer of knowledge across the entire European Union."@en1
