lpv:translated text	"Mr President, we know that the report addresses a very important issue. Through the new system, we want to help protect the greatest possible number of EU citizens who find themselves in danger. The added value of the European eCall system will depend, however, on Member States taking a responsible and effective approach. I would like to describe briefly the actions of the Slovak Republic in preparing this system. We drew up a national training programme for operational emergency workers across all emergency services. We consider training to be key to the functionality of the entire programme. Preparations are under way in the area of information and communications technology and in language studies. These include not just the main EU languages, but also regional languages. The comprehensive preparation is rounded off with psychometric and communication training. I am pleased that the entire project is funded by the EU."@en1
