lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of the Ries report on the proposal for a regulation on food intended for infants and young children and on food for special medical purposes. This regulation deals with the revision and simplification of the framework directive on foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses. This new report clarifies and simplifies European labelling while moving towards greater protection for consumers, and particularly for the most vulnerable groups, such as infants or persons who need a strict diet. I also note that this text was passed unanimously in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), which bodes well for the negotiations with the Council."@en1
