The Framework Directive on Dietetic Foods remains unimplemented to a very large extent, which has been hindering the implementation of this Directive and resulting in marked distortions. Labelling which gives consumers all the information they need is necessary, so that we can ensure the same level of protection for consumers throughout the EU and prevent a situation in which consumers are poorly informed by ambiguous labelling."@en1
