lpv:translated text	"Mr President, in my country, Slovenia, we deplore Switzerland’s decision. The measure is discriminatory and sad for a country that has a reputation as a country with democratic traditions. The situation in the labour market and the number of migrants from the European Union do not justify this. It is embarrassing to read that the extreme right in Switzerland, in its campaign for a referendum against immigrants, has used a poster depicting black working boots trampling the Swiss flag. The action taken by the Swiss Government is in contrast to what Switzerland has agreed to. Freedom of movement is the main pillar for the construction of European integration. All citizens of the European Union have equal rights. We cannot allow the intimidation of Europeans which we have witnessed in the Netherlands and Belgium, among other countries. We clearly have to condemn extreme populist and nationalist rhetoric and combat all forms of discrimination. Spreading hateful ideas is particularly dangerous in the midst of a financial, economic and social crisis. I expect the Swiss Government to radically rethink its decision. And since I do not expect the European Commission will take decisive action, why not terminate internal markets agreements with Switzerland?"@en1
