lpv:translated text	"Mr President, energy resource efficiency is a key aspect of the energy policy, whose aim is to achieve the sustainability target in the EU 2020 strategy. I firmly believe that in the next 10 years, renewable energy, which is still a luxury nowadays, is going to outgrow its role as an alternative source and become a main source of energy in the EU. However, Member States have different potentials in terms of energy resources. They need to focus on their domestic energy potential. Natural gas will play an important role in the EU’s energy mix, given the new extraction procedures available. However, energy efficiency is subject to the EU’s ability to connect these markets. We need substantial investments in the energy infrastructure which could provide easy transport between Member States. These investments could be funded by attracting private investors or investment funds."@en1
