The open economy is growing and new, above all, sustainable jobs can be created by a resource-efficient economy. We need to deal with some areas to which we have not devoted sufficient attention in the past, such as the growing global population and the accompanying increasing food consumption, as well as sustainable management of our ecosystems. I therefore support the calls for sustainable and resource-efficient management of food consumption, natural resources and materials. I would also mention that this needs to be supplemented with control and transparency, but also with detailed explanations to our citizens. Our citizens are prepared to make an active contribution.
