lpv:translated text	"I would like to draw attention to the fact that intellectual property rights are not sufficiently protected in China, and European enterprises – particularly small and medium-sized enterprises – lack the resources to combat infringements of intellectual property rights effectively. In this context, I welcome the Commission’s decision to propose a revision of the directive on the enforcement of intellectual property rights, and I would like to call on the Commission to ensure better protection of intellectual property rights in all multilateral organisations of which China is a member, such as the World Trade Organisation, World Health Organisation and World Intellectual Property Organisation. In the EU, we must intensify customs cooperation with third countries, and particularly with China, in confiscating counterfeit goods and simplifying customs procedures. The Commission and Member States should work more closely with third countries on the issue of copyright and licensing."@en1
