lpv:translated text	"European Union consumer policy should be ambitious and should confer a high level of protection on consumers, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable. This report, for which I voted, calls on the Commission and Member States to adopt specific legislative measures guaranteeing adequate protection for vulnerable consumers. This should involve not just the authorities but also companies and suppliers, so as to make the contractual balance more transparent and less opaque. It also draws attention to the vulnerability of older consumers in the context of the digitisation of services. The creation of a strategy to strengthen the rights of the most vulnerable consumers will contribute to their social inclusion and to the move towards a fairer and more tolerant society, as well as to ensuring a more dynamic, safer and more competitive internal market."@en1
