lpv:translated text	"The protection of vulnerable consumers is a priority and we must therefore call for a genuine European strategy in this area. The rights of vulnerable consumers must be reinforced as much as possible. European legislation, through the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union, protects European citizens by dealing with their cases on a case-by-case basis. Today, I am therefore in favour of a comprehensive strategy which will prevent unfair commercial practices in the future. The report adopts a sectoral approach to cover the different forms of vulnerability. For example, we should no longer be penalised for the lack of information on complaint and redress schemes."@en1
