lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I have also voted in favour of the own-initiative report because strengthening the rights of vulnerable consumers is a very important matter. I found one sentence in the report very informative: ‘This report rests upon the principle that all consumers are susceptible to becoming vulnerable consumers over the course of their lives’. This means that one day, this may ultimately affect us. I would like to add two comments to what previous speakers have said. One is that a uniform internal market with uniform standards is a requirement for consumer protection. Every consumer can then be certain, regardless of what he buys, that it is equally safe and of the same quality in every Member State. Secondly, what the previous speaker said on the subject of advertising is correct. We must make sure that advertising, particularly in the case of vulnerable consumers, does not move in the wrong direction and become misleading."@en1
